AMJAM

by Darren Copeland

AMJAM is an interactive radioscape created for the photo booth in the lobby of the Drake Hotel during the McLuhan Festival in 2004. A small transistor radio and a pair of headphones are available in the booth to listen to radio in a different way – as a tool for the user's own sonic expression! The volume and tuning dials on the radio interact with a software program that alters the sound of the AM radio.
